Dr. Travis Noto, DVM

Dr. Travis Noto was raised in Kenner, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, before attending Mississippi State University for a double major in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture and Biological Sciences. Before veterinary school, Dr. Noto participated in research in the fields of veterinary parasitology and catfish infectious diseases. Dr. Noto remained at Mississippi State University for his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, graduating in 2021.

Dr. Lisa Harrenstien, DVM, DACZM Board Certified Specialist in Zoological MedicineTM, Fear Free Avian Certified Professional, Hospital Co-Owner

Dr. Lisa Harrenstien founded AEVC in 2016 and served as its first clinical veterinarian, growing the practice to include 4 veterinarians, open 7 days a week. She used her extensive background in small animal/exotics medicine, university exotics practice, zoological pathology and zoo practice (including 13 years at the Oregon Zoo) to create AEVC as a welcoming and knowledgeable place for high-quality veterinary care of avian and exotic species. Dr. Harrenstien is a Board Certified Specialist in Zoological Medicine, with Diplomate status in the American College of Zoological Medicine (ACZM).

Dr. Sayrah Gilbert, DVM, DIPL ABVP (Exotic Companion Mammal)

Dr. Gilbert is originally from Houston, Texas and completed veterinary school at St. George University with her clinical year at the University of Illinois. She completed a small animal rotating internship at the Angell Animal Medical Center and an Avian and Exotics Specialty Internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists and a wildlife specialty internship with the National Wildlife Centre of Canada. She completed her exotic companion mammal residency at the Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic of Indianapolis in 2024.

Taylr Wells, DVM

Dr. Wells was born and raised in Metro Detroit. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Wayne State University in downtown Detroit and then moved to East Lansing to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Michigan State University. Dr. Wells loves Michigan so much that she stayed on at Michigan State University to complete her small animal rotating internship after graduation. From the beginning, Dr. Wells has had a strong passion for conservation and her ultimate goal is to become a board-certified specialist in zoological medicine (like Dr. Harrenstien).

Kelsey Chapman, DVM

Dr. Kelsey Chapman was born and raised in Western Canada and has dedicated her life to caring for a wide variety of animals. As a child, she spent most of her time with dairy cattle, horses, and companion mammals, and as she grew up, she found her passion for herptiles. Dr. Chapman completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of British Columbia, then moved to Alberta to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Gregory Walth, DVM

Dr. Walth is originally from Colorado Springs, CO. He received his veterinary degree from Iowa State University. He completed a small animal rotating internship in Tucson, AZ followed by a residency in zoological medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia, as well as a concurrent master's degree in comparative biomedical science - zoological medicine.

Dr. Brandy Kragness, DVM

Dr. Brandy Kragness grew up in Minnesota and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Minnesota. She went on to complete a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kragness then traveled to Canada for 2 years where she completed a zoological, exotic and wildlife internship at the University of Saskatchewan followed by a third internship at the Ontario Veterinary College in avian & exotic animal medicine and surgery.  Prior to joining the Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital team, Dr.

Dr. Taylor Lewis, DVM, Dipl ABVP (Exotic Companion Mammal)

Dr. Lewis hails from Indianapolis, IN but has also lived, studied, and worked in TN, NJ, and NY. After graduating from Purdue University, she attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has completed multiple internships, and a residency in exotic companion mammals, always caring for a wide variety of species including birds, mammals, and herptiles. She joined the AZEAH team in the summer of 2023. Her passion lies with medicine & surgery of rabbits, rodents, wildlife, and other “weird exotics”, as well as teaching and client education.

Dr. Bill Guerrera, DVM, Hospital Co-Owner

Dr. Guerrera is a graduate of Colorado State University with a strong interest in avian and exotic pets. He has worked at the Denver Zoo and was involved in several field studies, including mountain gorillas in Uganda and sea turtles in Costa Rica. He has presented at multiple national conferences on a variety of topics in exotic animal medicine. One of his main areas of expertise is managing advanced dental disease in rabbits.
