Ferret Vaccine Study

We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with a leading veterinary vaccine company to gain approval of a new rabies vaccination for ferrets. The vaccination has already been tested and shown to work in ferrets. It just needs Field Trials performed now to confirm that it does not cause any significant reactions (which were not seen in previous research studies).
We are looking for 30 ferrets to participate in a research study in which they will receive a comprehensive health examination and rabies vaccination. Patients will be monitored for a short period at the hospital after receiving the vaccine, and then must continue to be monitored for any signs of reactions at home for 10 days. Each ferret participating in the study will receive a $100 account credit to cover examination and any other services, diets, etc associated with the visit. There is not a charge for the vaccination. Ferrets enrolling in the study must be healthy and have no visible signs of illness. If you are interested in having your ferret enrolled in the study please contact us to discuss it further or schedule an appointment.
We will begin taking appointments for the program on Monday March 7th, 2016. Spaces are limited and will be awarded on a first come first serve basis.
