Email received 6-11-2010:  I didn't see a feedback sheet on the web site so figured I'd let you know my feedback this way.  We came to the hospital on 6-4-10. The receptionist was helpful & courteous. Only waited 15 minutes or less. Kevin answered our questions. So did the support staff. Enough time was taken with us, we enjoyed talking with Kevin about birds. We rate the you as excellent. You were organized and will recommend you highly. Friendly staff. Bill was ready fast. Instructions were ready and check out went smoothly. We were given instructions and they were explained well. Will recommend your hospital. From D.I

     I have been very impressed with the medical care provided to both of my parrots. I have seen Dr. Johnson and Dr. Wright. Both physicians are professional, knowledgeable and approachable. They take the time to listen, evaluate the situation at hand and will explain all options available. When discussing treatment options they give consideration to cost and provide appropriate recommendations for testing and treatments in stages ranging from conservative ( min req to make a diagnosis) to more aggressive ( in cases where previous testing or therapies prove inconclusive). This is refreshing since caring for exotics is EXPENSIVE. I have been to clinics that have the latest and greatest technologies but have found that some vets at these clinics will treat aggressively despite poor prognosis even death being eminent.
With this said I also wish to point out that the technicians are caring and interactive with the animals and owners. They are very precise with instructions and billing details.
     I find the fact that they only treat exotics appealing as this is the niche focus of the practice. They seem to be involved with the local avian and exotic rescues which I find equally as appealing.
     I also would like to mention that the practice does carry premium exotic foods and other supplies. The physicians will recommend these products when appropriate but there are no high pressure sales techniques or pitches used.
     Additionally the products carried are not fly by night fad items in pet care, these truly are quality products and are highly recommended by many exotic vets. If a physician recommends these products it is because they feel your pet will have health benefits from preventative care for exotics is key to keeping them healthy.While the cost of the products can be a little high you will benefit in the cost savings of having a healthy happy pet.
     The prices on the products are reasonable and competitive when compared to other vets or even local merchants that may carry the same items.
     The location of the office is easy to get to. The practice is clean and has a welcoming environment. I love the waiting area which is filled with books an periodicals on exotics, a board with business referrals for services pertaining to pet care and a TV which often has a presentation on wildlife or other interesting shows running.
